“We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and we stayed at this beautiful appointed home. This small community is located behind locked gates. As you enter this home through locked patio gates, surrounded by Bougainvillea in full bloom, is a huge patio, around three sides of this home. The patio area is beautiful with the tropical plants and garden furniture. There is an outdoor heater for those chilly evenings, next to the pool. The interior is exquisite with all the furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped, but we decided to eat out. There is also a BBQ outside of the kitchen, on the deck, along with table and chairs. The master bedroom has its own private bath, a large walk-in closet and a most comfortable bed. The amenities provided are great, especially the fresh cut flowers. The beach is just a short stroll and there are no stairs to climb, which is great for us older types. As mentioned, we did not eat in, but the kitchen would be a chef’s delight. We ate at the following restaurants and would highly recommend each of them. Sly’s, Carpentaria, for dinner, very good (ate dinner there twice). Senor Frog’s, Carpentaria, for appetizers, very good. For breakfast, the Breakwater at the marina in Santa Barbara. For lunch on our way home we ate at the Palace Grill on Cota St. in Santa Barbara, very good Cajun food. Understand their dinners are great. To sum this up we would highly recommend Rincon Del Mar for your stay in the Carpentaria / Santa Barbara area. The nights are very quiet and after great nights sleep, you are serenaded in the morning by the local doves. We would like to especially thank the owners for sharing this wonderful home and the hospitality extended to us. We will be returning. Enjoy you stay at Rincon Del Mar.”
